Cornel West

I haven't read Cornel West. But I saw him in Examined Life and I really like what he had to say.

He said that philosophy can make you feel so intensely alive. That you may be alone in the library studying. But you might feel compelled to throw the book against the wall you will feel so alive.

I feel so alive.

I feel intensely alive.

I love living.

I'm eating it up.

And philosophy is a big part of it for me.

Thinking makes me feel so alive.

About Me

I spend most of my time working as a mental health professional. I have been preoccupied with philosophy, politics, healing, and many other questions for the last 15 years or so. I am currently working on putting together my study of Plato and Aristotle with contemporary work in philosophy, psychology, psychotherapy, and trauma research. I use this place primarily as a workshop for ideas. I welcome conversation with anyone working on similar problems. The major contours of my basic project have been outlined here
